Firehouse Barbecue is a Melbourne based American barbecue catering business.

our story

Owner/Pitmaster Ross has been competing on the Australian and US competition barbecue circuit since 2017. He has a serious passion for cooking tasty American barbecue with over 15 years’ experience!

Firehouse Barbecue has catered small, medium and large events across Melbourne and Regional Victoria including birthdays, weddings, corporate lunches, bucks parties, engagement parties and even baby showers!

During 2018-19 Ross competed in barbecue world championships in Texas and Kansas City and brought home multiple trophies!

After three barbecue tours around the US, including going behind the scenes in several of Texas’ best barbecue restaurants to learn the craft, Ross has tailored his barbecue game and delivers top quality catering every time!

Ross has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all things barbecue and loves sharing his passion for food. Did you know Firehouse Barbecue offers private barbecue classes?

Outside of barbecue, Ross has been working as a structural firefighter since 2012 and has attended over 1,000 fire calls!

We use premium quality ingredients, sourced from some of Australia’s best suppliers and when it comes to our meats, seasonings, sides and sauces, we use only the best!

We smoke our meats using ironbark, cherry and apple woods in a custom-built offset smoker trailer.
